About ‘SISUNENASARA’
A group of undergraduates from Department of Computing and information Systems (CIS) of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) has been organized an event called “SISUNENASARA”. Our intention of this program is to provide free O/L mathematic knowledge to school children in a competitive manner.
This program has already started with thirteen undergraduates of CIS. Up to now we have conducted four sessions approximately fifty school children in Karagasthalawa Maha Vidyalaya which is located closer to the university. After the session students gathered the mathematical knowledge very easily, and it is proven by their feedback . This program is more useful to students to develop their capabilities. Here firstly we plan to select a group of mathematical teachers. Then those teaches are given students to teach selected lessons with specific time with limited facilities. Thereby teachers are required to teach to the given students using new teaching methods and give them maximum knowledge. The best teacher is going to be selected on a special selection criteria .Thereby teachers may try to find different teaching methodologies and technologies and examples. Therefore the outcome of this event may be more benefited to students ,teachers, parents and other training aids suppliers related to educational sector.
